Bagru Artisans havebeen hand-block printing for over 350 years and while many Rajasthani villages have turnedto screen-printing as an alternative to block printing, Bagru has remained loyal to its history,culture, and craftsmanship. This makes it one of the last existing hubs for this niche process.Visit with us the workshops of artisans specialized in block carving, dyeing, washing, andprinting. Tour the drying fields and see a rainbow of colours. Watch as the master printersstamp centuries-old patterns. Get the chance to design and print your own fabric.

Schedule

• 9 AM : Arrive Bagru, Chhipa Ka Mohalla

• 9 AM – 10:30 AM : Tour Old Bagru and Namdev Krishi Farm area, visit carvers, dyers, and block printers. See fabric drying in the Rajasthan sun.

• 10:30 AM – 11 AM : Stop to have a chai at a traditional block printing workshop.

• 11 AM – 1 PM : Print your own two meters fabric with the assistance of a block printing artisan. Choose from a collection of over 100+ blocks.

• 1:30 PM – 2 PM : Traditional Rajasthani lunch.

• 2 PM : Depart for Jaipur.
